This article will explain how you can add videos as content to your Claned board.
1. Open or create a board and go to the Content tab
2. Click the "ADD CONTENT" button in the module you want to add content to
3. Select the Video content type and paste the video link
The video needs to be hosted on either Youtube, Vimeo, or Panopto.
It cannot be uploaded directly to Claned.
You can use any publically shared videos on these platforms. If your chosen video is hosted on your own account, make sure it isn't hidden, or the video platform will refuse access to other board members on Claned.
4. Title your content and add a description
Good titles are key to good learning. It's important that your titles are as informative as possible so your learners will easily find what they are looking for.
Descriptions should focus learners attention on the main theme or aim of the content. You can also use this space to include instructions or tips for learners when studying them, or prompt their thinking about the content by asking open-ended, leading questions.
5. Configure content settings
Show content info when it's opened
This setting causes a pop-up window with you content description and any instructions or guidance you've included to open when a learner accesses the content. It is a way of ensuring that all instructions are seen.
Comments allowed
This is automatically turned on, but you may wish to turn it off for those materials where you do not want commenting.
6. Click on PUBLISH
This will publish the content to your board. You can always return to edit this content information by clicking the 3 dots in the upper right corner of every content block.
