When Would You Want to Do This?
You might need to delete a student’s attempt if:
There is a limited number of attempts, but something went wrong with the student’s submission.
You want to allow the student to retake the assessment.
⚠ Note: Deleting an attempt is permanent, and you will no longer be able to view the student’s answers.
Steps to Delete a Student’s Attempt
Open the assessment and navigate to the response view.
Find the student whose attempt you want to delete.
Click on the ❌ (delete) icon next to their attempt.
Confirm by clicking "Yes" to finalize the deletion.
After this, the student can take the assessment again if allowed.
⚠ Note: Please check that the assessment is still available to them in the case that you also have set a deadline. If the deadline has passed, you must edit the deadline too for that assessment to be available.
