User Roles and Rights in Claned

Members, teachers, and admins have different privileges when it comes to access and actions.

This articles will explain the different user roles in Claned and what they can do. We also explain how these roles can be assigned to a given user.

Definitions for different roles

Organization admin

Admins are members of an organization, who have the right to manage the organization. They can add, view, edit and remove groups, users and boards. They basically have all the power.

Teachers

Teachers are members of an organization, who are responsible for managing boards, but they can’t create groups or share boards to groups they don’t belong to. Teachers can only view the boards they are invited to but not add content or view analytics.

Board-owner / co-admin

The person who created the board is the board admin. Co-admins are people who have been given admin rights to that board. Both can add content, assessments, track learners and view analytics.

Members

Members of an organization can access the boards shared with them. They can view content, take assessments, comment and discuss with other board members. They can only see their own data.
