The items listed in these release notes are currently available for testing. Some of the functionalities are not ready or fully tested for participant use and we encourage only admins to perform the testing.

New Claned shares database with current Claned, so please be careful when making any changes as the changes are reflected also in your currently active boards. It’s recommended to create a new testing board for trying out the new Claned version to avoid any issue with your existing content.

When the testing phase is over, it will be perfectly safe to keep using Claned without doing any manual changes or migrations.

Platform-wide Updates:

Content Enhancements:

Faster PDF loading and improved clarity.
SCORM now hosted locally within Claned, eliminating the need for third-party navigation.
- SCORM are now embedded in Claned
- SCORM are now scaled with screen size
- XAPI content supported
- Added new option “requires completion” to SCORM content settings in Claned
- Will control if “Finish” button is always displayed or only after the content itself return a passing grade to Claned. Will require setup on the SCORM content side.
LTI content support, with future score and grading integration.
Added setting to control if commenting is allowed or not (commenting is now possible in all content except assessments (e.g. scorm and embedded content)
- Private notes are still allowed in all cases

Highlights are now only displayed if the comment panel is open
Adjusted layout of navigation panels

Assessments:

More reliable assessments.
Admin can now delete a previous attempt at a quiz to allow user to retake the quiz. Currently, deleting the attempt is permanent and a record of it is not saved.
You can now edit assessment settings and fix errors in questions and answer options.
Added a button to retake quiz when learner does not pass and more attempts are allowed
Added score distribution per question to results view.
Answering assessment view has been polished.

Tracking:

New tab for quick course statistics in the track tab (active users, grades, progress).
You can now regenerate certificates in the case certificates have a mistake in them. You can do this for the whole board or for single users.
Button for updating course progress will be available in all boards.

New Analytics:

Old board analytics has been deleted and a new dedicated analytics platform for faster, customizable reporting is on the way!
Added dedicated endpoint for updating user analytics labels.
Board extensions added to board settings if organization wants to collect data on types of boards (e.g. mandatory training, product training, internal training, mathematics, soft skills)
You can add an external ID on boards through board settings.

AI Assisted Chat:

RAG-based chatbot tool available for board-specific training.
Bots can be embedded in boards and used outside Claned with authentication.

AI assessments:

There is a button to create assessments with AI on your module. The tool takes the module contents into account and you can manage the number and types of questions it creates.
